About FableMaps
FableMaps is an independent fan project building map and progress tools for Fable (2027). Until launch, the site publishes sourced facts about the game.
Who runs it
Fans run it, with no connection to Microsoft, Xbox or Playground Games and no inside information. Everything here comes from public sources. We started it to make a Fable map that loads quickly on a phone and marks clearly what is confirmed.
The plan is an interactive Albion map, progress checklists, a property calculator and a choice planner, all launching with early access. We may later offer an optional desktop companion app, and we will announce it here first.
About the game
Playground Games develops Fable with its own team, separate from Forza Horizon, and Xbox Game Studios publishes it. Our main source for platforms, editions, specs and languages is the official FAQ on fablethegame.com. It is dated 22 January 2026 but has been updated since, so we recheck it with each update. Sourcing policy
- Official sources come first: store listings, rating boards, Xbox Wire, the developer's own site and FAQ, and on-the-record statements by Xbox or Playground staff.
- When a developer said something in an interview, we cite the outlet that published it and label the line as a developer quote. Preview impressions and outlet reports are labelled as reported.
- Fan findings, such as minimap readings on r/Fable, are labelled as fan work and credited with a link. We do not copy fans' images.
- We leave out leaks, datamines and claims we could not trace to a source.
- Every claim links its source and shows a date: when the source was published, or when we last checked a live page such as a store listing.
- We summarise in our own words. Quotes stay short and name who said them.
The labels look like this:
official Xbox, Playground, a store listing or a rating board. dev quote a Playground or Xbox staff member, often in an interview. reported a news outlet or preview impression. fan work fans' own findings, credited by link.
Updates and corrections
Facts such as dates, prices, platforms and specs live in one data file, so a correction shows up on every page at once. Each page shows when it was last updated. If you find a mistake, email hello@fablemaps.com with a link to a source. We fix confirmed errors and change the date.
Images
The game images on this site are official promotional material from Microsoft / Playground Games: screenshots, key art and the Fable logo from the Steam store page, Xbox Wire and fablethegame.com. Each image is credited underneath, with a link to the page we took it from. We use them under Microsoft's Game Content Usage Rules.
The compass rose and the FableMaps name in the header are our own.
